Welcome to the behind the scene's of "The Keeper"

This was a beautiful close-up of the skirt used in "The Keeper". It eventually had over 50 butterflies attached to it, although many fell off at one point or another!

It was FREEZING. It was so insanely cold and windy but we were having fun from the very first second! Caroline had to come pretty far to get onto location, so she did her makeup the way it was needed in the car. It took about 30 minutes, but while she was doing that i was putting all final touches on her costume and preparing for the shoot. She got dressed in my car while we drove the last couple minutes to the location.

After Caroline was fully dressed, we realized the skirt was a bit of a pain. She couldn't really move without butterflies flying off, the wig getting tangled or mud getting on her. She put up as many butterflies as she could without having to move.

There were three main locations and they were all gorgeous but slightly hidden. The first was a small path next to a pond. We also shot in a small ditch next to a tree and plastered the butterflies all around her. Luckily, the tree was really damp from the day before so we could get the wire from the butterflies in pretty easily. The last shoot was a small location with a ton of beautiful orange and brown leaves. You can see a small picture of that above, it also had amazing shaped tree's and i loved it.

 The extraordinarily muddy path!

This was the final location, with all the beautiful bright leaves. It was so much fun to shoot with Caroline and i know we're going to be doing it again soon! I loved working with her, she is such a blast and is a quick learner. If you enjoyed this post and want to know more about "The Keeper" please stayed tuned, as i am going to be posting the backstory on her and all the finished photograph's TOMORROW!! I cannot wait to talk to all of you again,
As always infinite x's and o's,
Christa
